PRAYER FOR PROTECTION AGAINST NATURAL DISASTERS
Loving Father, maker of heaven and earth, Lord of all creation. All elements of nature obey your command. With faith in your love and mercy, we pray that you may protect us, your people from storms, hurricanes and all other natural disasters. We place all our trust and hope in you, calm our fears and help us to be thankful to you for your goodness. Lord hear our prayer and answer us in your wisdom, love and mercy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
PRAYER FOR OUR NATION
Gracious God, you established Grenada Carriacou and Petite Martinique among the community of nations.
From the beginning, we have struggled for justice and peace, to overcome the division and violence which
marred our past. Today we remember the events of 1983 which tested our vision and challenged our hope. Heal our wounds. Open our eyes to see beyond those wounds and to rejoice in being one nation, one family. Grant eternal rest to all who died in the service of our country. Raise up men and women, girls and boys, who will point the way to reconciliation, deeper unity and a wise love which will lead us to overcome all the challenges we will face in the future. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Lord hear our prayer and answer us in your wisdom, love and mercy. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
